چکیده

We consider an exchange economy under uncertainty, in which agents’ utility functions exhibit constant absolute risk aversion, but they may be recursive and the expected utility calculation may be based on multiple subjective beliefs. The risk aversion coefficients, subjective beliefs, subjective time discount factors, initial endowments, and tradeable assets may differ across agents. We prove that the risk-free bond price goes down (and the interest rate goes up) monotonically as the markets become more complete. We find the range of equilibrium bond prices that depends on the primitives of the economy but not on the structures of financial markets. JEL Classification Codes: D52, D91, E21, E44, G12.

Asset prices in general equilibrium with recursive utility and illiquidity induced by transactions costs

In this paper, we study the effect of proportional transaction costs on consumptionportfolio decisions and asset prices in a dynamic general equilibrium economy with a financial market that has a single-period bond and two risky stocks, one of which incurs the transaction cost. Our model has multiple investors with stochastic labor income, heterogeneous beliefs, and heterogeneous Epstein-Zin-We...

Asset Prices in General Equilibrium with Transactions Costs and Recursive Utility

In this paper, we study the effect of proportional transactions costs on asset prices and liquidity premia in a general equilibrium economy with multiple agents who are heterogeneous. The agents in our model have Epstein-Zin-Weil utility functions and can be heterogeneous with respect to endowments and all three characteristics of their utility functions – time preference, risk aversion, and el...

Consumption-Based Asset Pricing with Recursive Utility

In this paper it has been attempted to investigate the capability of the consumption-based capital asset pricing model (CCAPM), using the general method of moment (GMM), with regard to the Epstien-zin recursive preferences model for Iran's capital market. Generally speaking, recursive utility permits disentangling of the two psychologically separate concepts of risk aversion and elasticity of i...

Presenting a model for Multiple-step-ahead-Forecasting of volatility and Conditional Value at Risk in fossil energy markets

Fossil energy markets have always been known as strategic and important markets. They have a significant impact on the macro economy and financial markets of the world. The nature of these markets are accompanied by sudden shocks and volatility in the prices. Therefore, they must be controlled and forecasted by using appropriate tools. This paper adopts the Generalized Auto Regressive Condition...

Market Completion and Robust Utility Maximization

In this thesis we study two problems of financial mathematics that are closely related. The first part proposes a method to find prices and hedging strategies for risky claims exposed to a risk factor that is not hedgeable on a financial market. In the second part we calculate the maximal utility and optimal trading strategies on incomplete markets using Backward Stochastic Differential Equatio...
